What crystals are in Mine Antarctica?

Crystals are everything you earn and everything you spend. You mine them from veins and boulders on the mountain, they fill your backpack by weight in kilograms, they sell for Cash, and they can instead be placed in your garden for permanent extra digging luck.

The official game description does not name crystal types. Official promotional images do show the mechanic clearly, though: crystals carry a kilogram weight — two official images show crystals weighed at 96.4 kg and 98.4 kg — and rainbow-colored rare crystals glow with effects that mark them as different from common ice-colored finds.

The weight system, in practice

Weight is the property that connects mining to your backpack and your income:

• Backpack capacity is a weight budget. A full backpack ends the run — the backpack guide covers capacity and run planning.
• Weight appears when you mine. The number you see above a crystal in-game and in official images (96.4 kg, 98.4 kg) is the weight you carry.
• Selling converts weight to Cash. The flow is in the selling guide.

Rarities: what is and is not known

The official description says only “mine rare crystals” and “hidden treasures”. What follows is the honest boundary:

• Rarer crystals exist — the description promises “rare crystals”, and official images show rainbow crystals with effect overlays that common finds do not have.
• No official rarity ladder is published. Names like “mythic” or specific tier lists you may see on other sites are community reports, not confirmed by the developer. We will add a verified ladder here only when the game documents one.
• Hidden treasures are official. The description says “Mine crystals & uncover hidden treasures” — treasure finds exist, and details beyond that are in-game.

The three-way decision: sell, garden, or carry

Every crystal you dig has exactly three uses, and the right one depends on your stage:

1. Sell it for Cash if you are saving for the next Warmth, Pickaxe or Backpack tier.
2. Garden it — spare duplicates become permanent digging luck, explained in the mining luck guide.
3. Carry it down — a full backpack of heavy crystals is a full run’s income; plan the descent before the weight locks you out of more mining.
